Behind the realism is the advisor Terri Coates, lecturer, writer and clinical editor. She shares her journey from being a nurse and midwife to studying midwives in literature. She explains her involvement with improving Sickle cell care and raising awareness of the work of Mary Seacole. She is also Patron, Sickle Cell Society and Vice-President, CPHVA.
