To commemorate the World health Organisation’s “Year of the Nurse and the Midwife” campaign, MATFLIX is making its video boxset, IMPROVING CARE IN GLOBAL SETTINGS, available for free to anyone who registers on the MATFLIX site.
The needs of mothers and babies are important throughout the world. The care of midwives is essential to meet those needs. The aim of this boxset is to explore some of the evidence around care provided in some global settings, the significance of midwifery care and the unique circumstances within these settings. It will be useful for those considering working in international areas to gain insight into the realities of being a midwife abroad.
The boxset has been curated by Dr Jenny Hall – long-time maternity educator, fellow of the Royal College of Midwives and former editor of the Practising Midwife. The boxset is powered by expert presentations from the Maternity and Midwifery Forum’s events and festivals.
